About Rode & Co
Behind the Drawings:
Hi, I’m Fred. I am the founder of Rode & Co. a private design practice built on practical solutions and honest communication.
I chose to start this practice to offer a more personal, direct alternative to larger firms. For me, design is about listening to your ideas, understanding your practical needs, and finding the straightforward ways to get them onto paper accurately.
I am qualified as a multidisciplinary draughtsperson and hold a Higher Certificate in Architectural Technology and am currently (2026) studying toward my NQF Level 7 bachelor’s degree in architecture.
Over the years, I have earned formal certificates in Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD, and Caddi. I have worked with Prokon, Sumo, Inventor and Rhino 3D, Robot Structural Analysis, and actively working with point clouds for precise
site data.
In the Name
The name Rode & Co. initially and aptly phrased by my wife, points to the individuals that form the Co. in Rode & Company. It represents the trusted network of industry professionals I have collaborated with over the years. These specialists form part of the Rode & Co. family and are able to assist with your specific project requirements that include; council runners, engineers, architects, contractor’s fabricators and suppliers.
